Summer English Course in London

Summer is a great time for international students to take an English course in London.  The city really comes alive during July/August and in response, SGI London English School has available a fantastic teacher-led student social programme making our Summer English Course in London a truly memorable enriching experience.  The long sunny days and warm evenings really open up the social possibilities, here are some of the great summer activities and events we organise;

• River trips along the Thames - enjoy those warm river breezes and fabulous views as you gently wind your way through the city – go east to Greenwich and the O2 Dome, or west to Royal Hampton Court Palace and the Kew Botannical Gardens
• Evening theatre trips in the West End or Covent Garden - great prices and shows available - brilliant socialising opportunity before and after the shows.
• Free summer student parties - always popular and always in great locations and venues across Central London
• Activity afternoons in beautiful Regent’s Park – football, volleyball, netball or just lie on the grass if you’re feeling lazy! The park is just a 10 minute walk from the school.

Of course students are perfectly capable of enjoying this enchanting ancient city independently. When you finish classes, you walk out into all that Central London has to offer. Based in the charming Fitzrovia district, just north of Oxford Street, SGI is on the doorstep of some great neighbourhoods such as Soho, Mayfair, Bloomsbury and Marylebone.

All of this central area is awash with shops, bars, clubs, pubs, restaurants, museums, galleries and open air cafes. A summer evening walk will take you through busy streets and peaceful leafy squares, past stunning historic buildings and hi-tech glass steel edifices, you can never tire of London, there’s someone here for everyone in this city of dreams!
