How to get to SGI: Public Transport to the School
As SGI is in the centre of the city, there are many different ways to get to the school.
By Tube (underground train)
The school is located just a few minutes walk from Oxford Circus underground station (Zone 1) which is on the Central Line, Victoria Line and Bakerloo lines. The ‘tube’ is perhaps not the most relaxing way to get around town but it is definitely the fastest!
By Bus
A much slower but generally more relaxing way of getting to the school is to take one of those famous red London buses. The school is close to a great many bus routes which will stop close to the school, on either Oxford Street or Regent Street and close to Oxford Circus. The buses you could take are: 3, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13, 23, 55, 73, 88, 94, 98, 137, 139, 159, 189, 390, 453, C2. Check if any of these buses stop near to where you live.
By Bike
If you are feeling energetic London now has an exciting new bike hire scheme available in all of the Central London area. All you have to do is sign up for the scheme and then you can hire a bike from one of the 315 locations where you can pick up a bike. The cost of using the cycles varies from £1 for an hour to £50 for 24 hours.
The nearest bike docking station to SGI is Wells Street, Fitzrovia…..a one minute walk away from the school!
