SGI accreditations, validations and partnerships
We have always set ourselves high standards and this is reflected in our accreditations, validations and partnerships.
Currently, SGI is accredited by the British Council for its English language teaching and by Trinity College London for its English language teacher training courses. It is also a member of EAQUALS and of English UK, both professional associations for quality language training providers. It also has a number of successful partnerships with British state universities such as St Mary’s University College London and Roehampton University

Who are the British Council? What does 'accredited' mean and why is it important?
The British Council are the government agency responsible for promoting British culture throughout the world. As the UK's international organisation for educational and cultural relations its activities embrace Education, the Arts, Science and Societal issues.
One of its UK activities is the running of 'Accreditation UK' which is the quality assurance scheme for the UK ELT sector. If a school meets agreed high standards of quality they are then accredited by the British Council. Members of the Scheme have a continuing obligation to work to the agreed standards of the scheme and are regularly re-inspected.
Accreditation provides students with a guarantee of quality. It is important to you because you will come to St George International knowing that important aspects of your course – the quality of teaching, accommodation, facilities, social programme and student services – meet the high standards required for accreditation.

Who are Trinity College London ?
Trinity College London is an international examinations board, incorporating Trinity Guildhall. It offers accredited qualifications in English language teaching, the English language and the performing arts.
In the field of TESOL, Trinity College London is widely recognised by employers and authorities around the world for its highly acclaimed and accredited TESOL qualifications, the Trinity Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CertTESOL) and the advanced qualification, the Trinity College London LTCL Diploma.
St George International has proudly been an approved and validated as course providers for both the Certificate and Diploma for nearly 15 years.

Who are EAQUALS?
Founded in 1991, EAQUALS is an international association of language training providers that aims
to promote and guarantee quality in foreign language courses. To achieve these aims it has
established and published a demanding set of criteria for accreditation. These are laid out in the
form of the EAQUALS General Charter, the Charter for Course Participants, and the Staff and
Information Charters. Compliance with the criteria is verified during a rigorous inspection process.

Who are English UK?
English UK is the UK professional association of accredited English language centres. It has over 350 member centres in private schools, educational trusts and charities, further education colleges and universities. All its members are accredited by the British Council under the 'Accreditation UK' scheme which English UK is involved in administering. Its key role is the promotion of quality language training in the UK.

Official statement by EAQUALS
Official statement by EAQUALS following our re-accreditation inspection in March 2010.
"Saint George International was inspected by EAQUALS in March 2010 and met the
high standards required for EAQUALS accreditation. The teaching, the course programmes,
as well as the course organisation, the learning resources, testing and evaluation were all
judged to be of high quality. It was found that the institution takes great care to protect
the welfare of its clients and staff, and all publicity materials produced by the institution
are accurate and truthful.
