Residential Executive Courses

SGI's Partner School located in a 14th century manor house

SGI’s Partner School for Residential Executive Courses is located in a beautiful and exclusive 14th century manor house near the town of Winchester, 60 miles south-west of London and within easy access of London’s Heathrow and Gatwick airports. Even closer are the airports of Southampton (35 minutes drive) and Bournemouth (50 minutes).

The courses are designed for busy professionals who require highly intensive one-to-one tuition in order to reach their English language learning objectives as quickly as possible. Courses can be taken for a minimum of one week, but for maximum effectiveness, we would recommend courses of at least two weeks.

Private accommodation, top quality dining and a host of leisure opportunities are available on the same site as the training centre, meaning that course participants waste no time travelling and are able to devote all their energies to language learning.

Our Partner School occupies a 20 hectare site hidden away in beautiful, peaceful Hampshire countryside. The school’s focal building, which houses much of the accommodation, dining and common rooms, is a stunning protected building dating from the 14th century, which retains all its historical charm, while offering comfortable single-room accommodation.

As SGI, our partner school is accredited by the British Council which gives an extra, independent guarantee of the quality of services.

In addition to top class training facilities, the school has its own 9-hole PGA approved golf course, two astro-turf tennis courts, one grass tennis court, a gymnasium, sauna and an outdoor swimming pool – all just minutes from the training-rooms and accommodation.

  • Over 15,000 people have studied at our partner school since it was founded in 1971

  • The novelist Jane Austen is said to have spent weekends here
  • Course participants elect a Social President for the week (at least three have gone on to be Prime Minister of their country)
