SGI’s fourth Italian teenage group of 2014 enjoyed exceptional exam success this November with a 100% pass rate, all at A or B, for the Trinity GESE* Exam taken at the end of their General English Course. SGI are delighted that this is the third Italian group preparing for the GESE exam to achieve 100% success all with A and B grades.
Max Loach, the School Principal, commented, “ I’m proud of the school’s record of preparing these young students for this prestigious internationally-recognised spoken English exam. Our outstanding results I think are based on the fact that our classes are extremely well-planned and the benefit we derive from having 3 Trinity GESE examiners on the full-time teaching staff”.
The 30 students, from Puglia in Southern Italy, also enjoyed their own special social programme. Highlights included guided walks with our very own teacher and qualified tour guide, Owen Bywater. The gory Jack the Ripper Walk and the trendy CamdenWalk were particularly popular.
* GESE stands for Graded Examinations in Spoken English and focuses on building confidence and motivation in English language communication.
