Terms & Conditions
SGI Language Course
The Client accepts these Terms and Conditions by paying part of or the whole of The Payment Fee.
Where the client does not appear (client ‘no-show’) for a pre-arranged class, this class will be billed in full.
There is to be no discussion of fees or billing status with the teacher.
The Payment Fee must be made directly to St George International. Any direct financial relationship with the teacher is forbidden. Failure to comply with this prohibition shall result in a civil action.
The client must sign the time sheet provided by the teacher at the start or end of each lesson. This shows the number of lessons completed and acts as a register.
Any change of class size must only be made with the authorisation of St George International.
Full fees must be paid prior to the start of the course.
All foreign (non-English) language courses in the UK and associated fees are subject to UK VAT @ 20%.
If cancelling or rearranging the date of a class which has already been arranged, the client must contact the teacher directly for practical reasons. Where the client is unable to contact the teacher, the client must telephone or email St George International, who will then contact the teacher. If less than 24 hours (one working day) notice is given for a cancellation, the lesson will be billed in full. The cancellation policy should be discussed directly with St George International and not with the teacher.
If there are problems with course content the client must contact St George International immediately.
Teacher delays due to transport problems will be rescheduled or, with the client's consent, the time will be made up at the end of the lesson. Client delays may not be made up (except by individual arrangement with the teacher).
Should the teacher need to cancel a lesson, this missed lesson will be made up at the end of the course or at any other time. Arrangement should be made between the teacher and client.
Location changes must be agreed upon at least 2 working days in advance, either directly with the teacher or through St George International. Any increased travel expenses due to the change will be billed to the client.
Courses which take place on a Monday might be affected by Bank Holidays. Some lessons do not run on Bank Holidays and missed lessons are therefore postponed until the end of the course.
Where a teacher is unable to continue a course, St George International will provide an equally qualified, experienced and suitable replacement. Where this is not possible, a full refund of all outstanding sessions will be offered to the client.
Where a client is unable to continue/start a confirmed and paid course no refund will be given. Course fees are transferable to another person and/or language. Should the client change the language taught an administration fee of £50 will apply.
All disagreements arising from these Terms and Conditions shall be governed according to English law, and any matters arising out if it shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
