What better way to improve your skills in a foreign language than by spending some time in the country where it is spoken – learning in the classroom and putting your new skills into practice after your language lessons while immersing yourself in the local culture!
SGI Study Abroad partners offer a wide range of language courses for general, business and academic purposes. Most language courses can be started on any Monday and you will study in a class of no more than 15 students (often considerably fewer) generally for between 20 and 30 lessons per week – although more specialist areas often require one-to-one tuition. Local flavour is often added through afternoon options focusing on special interest areas (such as cooking in France or visual arts in Italy.) As at SGI, teachers are all qualified native speaker teaching professionals.
All SGI Partner Language Schools offer accommodation to their students. Usually, students have the choice of living with a local homestay (also called "host-family") or in a student residence or apartment. With a homestay, you will have a single-room and share meals and social time with your hosts, thereby practicing your language skills in a natural environment. Living in a student residence or apartment will give you more independence – the added benefit is that residences are usually much closer to school than host-families.
All SGI Partner Schools offer language courses as part of a holiday package, and, if required, will take care of your airport transfers and your evening and weekend social activities – which will include sightseeing, evenings out with fellow students, and excursions to local places of interest.
