Needs Analysis
How does SGI assess my needs?
After we have established your starting level using the CEFR, it then becomes extremely relevant to establish what you need to improve in your language course or what kind of tasks you need to perform in your chosen language that you are unable to do now. It may be, as is commonly the case that you want to become more confident in your use of the language. However, it may be that you need to be able to perform more effectively in the language within a work context. This leads us onto the next stage – the Needs Analysis.
The Needs Analysis is exactly as it says on the tin, an analysis of needs. Whether your needs are social, business or academic and whether you want to focus on speaking, reading or writing, the Needs Analysis will complete your pre-course language profile and enable us to either place you in the most appropriate language class or propose the best course of action for you to take from the information we have gathered.
