University Foundation Course - Terms Two and Three

Key objective: To prepare students for a British University and give them the necessary skills to succeed.

Course start date: 03-01-2012 (24 weeks)
Course Price: £4200

Minimum Entry point: IELTS 5.0 equivalent (Intermediate). Students at this level are not required to take Term 1.

Terms Two and Three cover:

  • Academic Skills including note-taking, essay planning, preparation and writing, quantitative analysis and seminar practice
  • Specialist Subject Areas These are taught in 2-week blocks covering: Business - including Finance, Marketing, Management & Organisations Economics - including Competition, Inflation & Deflation and The World Economy Politics - including British Government, Democracy, Freedom & The Media Geography - including Population Trends and the impact of Globalisation
  • Language Focus
    work on grammar and pronunciation
  • Tutorials weekly help given by tutors on students progress
  • IELTS exam focus
    practice of exam technique
  • IT skills, Guided Self-study and Self-Study modules
