Standard English Course

The Standard English Course has 3 hours of classroom study each morning from Monday to Friday. This very popular General English course helps students quickly achieve more confidence with English, communicate more effectively in the language and also have plenty of time to discover the benefits of London.

What will I do on the English course?

  • With small group sizes (average class size 8), the course enables teachers to give you substantial personal attention and individual advice on areas to work on.
  • The course gives you the opportunity to improve your all-round ability in English by focusing on speaking, grammar and vocabulary development, pronunciation, listening, reading and writing skills.
  • Our experienced and well-trained teachers have a creative and energetic approach to the course which ensures you have stimulating and enjoyable lessons.
  • The course uses real-world materials from the internet and other media to ensure you are always studying ‘real English’

Please Note: You can start a Standard English Course every Monday, including the following UK public holiday Mondays in 2018; 2nd April, 7th May, 28th May, 27th August.

Our Standard English class develops all aspects of your English, including: speaking, listening, grammar and vocabulary development, reading, writing and pronunciation. The key focus is on improving your ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

The syllabus for your lessons is based on your course book, but your teacher will also use other stimulating and original English from the internet and other ‘real’ sources. You will be given regular homework and at the end of the week revise what you have learnt.
