This general English course combines the morning Standard course (9.15 – 12.45) and an afternoon mini-group (13.30-15.00).
The mini-group allows the tutor to focus on the immediate needs of the students whilst improving listening and speaking skills, expanding vocabulary and developing confidence. Activities range from discussions of issues and topics such as travel, film, culture and politics through to project work based around internet research or creating a student newsletter. Study may be integrated with cultural visits outside the classroom. The emphasis is on group work and effective oral communication.
