Aimed at people currently living and working in London who wish to improve and become more confident in their use of Standard English pronunciation both socially and at work. With a maximum of 6 participants on a course, students are guaranteed a very high level of personal attention and participation.
The course is a practical one that aims to work on key aspects of Spoken English. On the course students will:
- Study the 'points of articulation' for vowels, diphthongs and consonants
- work on stressed and unstressed syllables and words in sentences
- work on linking words together
- learn spelling and pronunciation 'rules'
- sentence intonation
- work on features of connected speech
