- The deadline for 2019 courses (for course funding from 1st July 2019) is 5th February 2019.
SGI offers a comprehensive Erasmus Plus assistance service to enable the application form to be completed successfully. Please contact our Erasmus - Plus Coordinator – Stephen Bell: email@example.com , +00 44 (0)207 2991703
- List of National Agencies for all participating countries
- Applications can now only be made by schools, colleges or institutions, so you must now apply through the organisation you work for. Organisations can receive extra funding when they apply for Erasmus+ grants on behalf of their teachers, so both you and your school will benefit!
- Organisations can apply for grants for individual teachers, so you don’t need to be part of a group to benefit from the funding.
What is the application procedure?
Step 1) Once you have decided which SGI refresher course you would like to do, we suggest you begin the application process by speaking to your school and specifically, the person responsible for staff development and EU funding.
Step 2) Once your school has confirmed they will support your application, you can apply online or by email for your course at SGI, and your place will be held until your Erasmus+ funding has been confirmed. Please make it clear in your application, or your correspondence with us, that you have applied for EU funding.
Step 3) Once an application has been received, we will confirm the booking with you. Please note, this confirmation will be needed by your organisation as part of their application for funding.
Step 4) As mentioned previously, your organisation will need to apply for the funding. If not already registered, your organisation must register with the European Commission’s Participant Portal and get a Participation Identification Code (PIC) number. To do this they will firstly need to register as an applicant organisation on the European Commission Authentication Service (ECAS)
Step 5) Once registered your organization will be able to log into the Participant portal with their ECAS account details and obtain the unique PIC. With the PIC number the online application funding form can be completed
Step 6) As part of the application your school /organisation must submit a European Development Plan, which will need to explain how the course you have chosen at SGI will contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the plan. To help you complete this section, SGI have created a document Writing a European Development Plan. Click here to access the European Development Plan document.
Step 7) Send off your completed form and supporting documentation to your National Agency in good time for the 2019 application.
