Cambridge FCE Exam Preparation Course

The Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE), also known as Cambridge English: First now, is an extremely popular and highly-regarded  General English exam, that is pitched at an Upper Intermediate level of English - B2 on the CEF (Common European Framework). This high-quality exam proves you can use everyday written and spoken English for work or study purposes. There are four parts to the exam, covering Speaking (14 minutes), Listening (40 minutes), Writing (1 hour 20 minutes) and Reading (1 hour 15 minutes) with Use of English.

This course is ideal if you want to study abroad or to develop a career which requires language skills (e.g. sales, marketing, etc).

With our small classes (maximum class 12), and our well-qualified and highly trained teaching staff, we guarantee all students will be fully prepared for the demands of the FCE exam.

Reading and Use of English (1 hour 15 minutes) - 7 parts/52 questions
This part of the exam tests how well you can manipulate and control your vocabulary and grammar. To do well at this part of the exam you will show confidence at dealing  with different types of text, such as magazines fiction and newspapers.

Writing (1 hour 20 minutes) - 2 parts
This part of the exam involves producing two different pieces of writing, such as reports, letters, reviews and essays.

Listening (about 40 minutes) - 4 parts/30 questions
In the listening part of the exam you have to be able to understand a range of spoken materials, such as presentations, news programmes, and everyday conversations.

Speaking (14 minutes per pair of candidates) - 4 parts
The speaking part of the exam assesses your ability to communicate effectively in face-to-face situations and is always taken with one or two other candidates.
