In a small cafe in a huge bookshop we saw some wonderful live music. There was a great atmosphere and the songs were beautiful. A fire alarm almost stopped our evening but the musician carried on playing while we were all standing outside!

Though it is a little cold a trip down the river Thames was a popular event this month. We saw some of the most beautiful and famous buildings in London with a very funny commentary from the boat’s captain!

One Saturday morning in May we met Avalon School in Victoria Park for a football match. It was a great game and both teams played brilliantly. The weather smiled on us and it was a fantastic opportunity to meet other English language students and for some friendly rivalry.

It was a lovely sunny day when we went to the amphitheatre near Tower Bridge to watch a free concert by the blues band, Pacifico Blues. We enjoyed the fantastic music, great atmosphere and a walk along the river at sunset.

This is a must for all visitors to London in the summer. Hyde Park is really beautiful and a group of us went there to hire boats and have an hour relaxing on the Serpentine. We hired a row boat and a pedalo, in a race to the bridge the pedalo easily won! After using [...]
