How to get from the airport to London
Now you have decided to study English in London with us, so as to make your arrival in the UK easier and safer, we have provided you with useful information about the options you have to get from the airport to central London. Please choose below the airport at which you’ll arrive.
Heathrow to Central London

Heathrow Express
These trains operate from Heathrow to London Paddington. The service runs every 15 minutes and the journey time is also 15 minutes from Terminals 1,2 and 3, or 21 minutes from Terminal 5. Fares start at £16.50 for a single or £32 for a return. |

Piccadilly Line trains operate a frequent, cost-effective service into central London with a journey time of approximately 50 – 60 minutes. A single fare costs £4. |

Heathrow Connect
Stopping trains run from Heathrow to Paddington via local stations in west London. Trains run every 30 minutes and journey time is 25 minutes from Terminals 1 and 3 or 28 minutes from Terminal 4. A single fare to Paddington is £6.90. |

National Express coach
Frequent coach services run throughout the day with journey times of between 40 and 80 minutes to Victoria coach station and many other destinations around London.

Heathrow to Feltham
The 285 local bus service links Heathrow with Feltham rail station. From Feltham there are frequent trains to London Waterloo. Combined journey time for bus and train is one hour and 40 minutes. The cost is under £5.

London taxis are available outside each terminal. The cost to central London is £45 – £70 and the journey time is approximately one hour.

Gatwick airport to London

Gatwick Express non-stop train service to Victoria runs every 15 minutes with a journey time of 30 minutes. |

Stansted to Central London

By train
The Stansted Express runs every 15 minutes and reaches London Liverpool Street in 45 minutes. Alternatively, National Express East Anglia trains run to Stratford (east London) via the Lea Valley. All trains depart from Stansted Airport rail station, situated directly below the terminal. London Underground connections are available at Liverpool Street, Stratford and Tottenham Hale (on the Stansted Express line). |

By bus or coach
Fast, frequent coaches run from Stansted to London destinations including Liverpool Street, Victoria, Stratford, Baker Street and Kings Cross. With fares starting at just a few pounds, this can be a really cost-effective way to travel. All services call at the airport coach station, directly opposite the terminal. |

By car
Stansted is about 40 miles outside central London. Depending on your destination, you may have to pay the Congestion Charge.There are several car rental options at the airport. |

Taxi
Stansted Airport taxi operator Checker Cars operates a reservation desk on the international arrivals concourse and there's a courtesy phone in the UK and Ireland baggage reclaim hall. Luton to Central London

By train
Shuttle bus service connecting the Airport to Luton Airport Parkway Station
The service runs every ten minutes between 05:00 and midnight and also connects with all trains calling at Luton Airport Parkway overnight.
Rail passengers will be able to purchase through tickets to London Luton Airport. Those passengers arriving at Luton Airport Parkway station without a through ticket to the Airport and who wish to use the shuttle bus will pay an Excess Charge of £1.00 each way if they arrive at the station by train.
Regular rail services to central London take as little as 21 minutes with East Midlands Trains and 25 minutes with First Capital Connect. |

By bus or coach
Travelling by bus or coach to and from London Luton Airport could not be easier. London Luton Airport has excellent connections with key towns and cities across the country. The coach pick up and drop off points and bus bays are situated in front of the terminal building.

By car
London Luton Airport is easily accessible from all over the country and located close to the M1 and M25. Central London is 32 miles from Luton airport. Depending on your destination, you may have to pay the Congestion Charge.
To and From the M25
Access to London Luton Airport from the West is possible through several routes.
If approaching via Dunstable, follow the airport signs.
Alternative approaches include travelling via M40/M25 to join the M1 and then exit via Junction 10. Exit the M25 at Junction 21 for the access to the M1.

To and From the M1
London Luton Airport is only 30 minutes from North London, 15 minutes from the M25 and 5 minutes from the M1.
The airport is just two miles from the M1 motorway.
Exit the M1 at Junction 10. The route to the airport is clearly signposted. |
